Dedicated to Wellness and Healthy Aging
Mary Ryder Home's programs focus on caring for the whole person, providing opportunities that promote healthy aging and improve our Residents’ quality of life both physically and mentally.
A few of the programs our Residents enjoy:
- Elder Arts Initiative An on-site art educator exposes Residents to the therapeutic benefits of art and the power of the creative process.
- Occupational Therapy-Related Activities Residents participate in activities focused on healthy aging, including storytelling, creative writing, craft projects, exercise, and more.
- In-House Recreational Activities Residents enjoy in-house activities that foster a sense of community and socialization. MRH's activities director coordinates games like Bingo and cards as well as planning holiday parties and movie screenings. Activities like gardening, choir, computer class, and visits from the library bookmobile are also offered.
- Educational and Recreational Outings Several times a year, Residents have the opportunity to enjoy social outings to St. Louis attractions.
